We stayed at Hampton Inn and Suites after staying at a 5-star resort in Orlando for a week. We expected a minor letdown after such a great experience in Orlando, but it never came. The Hampton is located in a beautiful spot, walking distance to downtown shopping and The Pier. The rooms are great, average size, but they include a fridge, microwave, work desk, great beds, and free high speed internet - hard to beat for the $109 we paid.
 The free breakfast was more than just regular continental fare - they also had scrambled eggs and sausage. The staff, especially Joyce, was excellent.
They did all of the little things right, and I hope that this hotel continues to place an emphasis on service and value.
 I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in St. Petersburg, I think it must be the best deal in town.
